1. Acceptance and Scope of Terms

Welcome to Ubiquitus.org ("Ubiquitus," "we," "us," or "our"), an experimental Universal Basic Income platform. By accessing, using, or creating an account on our website and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"), our Privacy Policy, and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use our services.

These Terms apply to all users, including but not limited to visitors, registered users, contributors, and payment recipients.

2. Platform Description and Services

Core Service: Ubiquitus operates an experimental Universal Basic Income (UBI) distribution system that provides regular payments to verified participants.

AI Fund Management: We employ artificial intelligence systems to manage and grow the UBI fund through automated trading and portfolio optimization.

Payment Processing: We facilitate payments through third-party services including Venmo, PayPal, and other approved payment processors.

Community Platform: We provide a platform for users to track their participation, view impact data, and engage with the UBI community.

3. Eligibility and Account Requirements

Age Requirement: You must be at least 18 years of age to participate in Ubiquitus services.

Jurisdiction: Services are currently available only to residents of the United States with valid payment processor accounts.

Account Limits: Each individual is permitted only one account on Ubiquitus. Creating multiple accounts will result in immediate termination of all associated accounts.

Verification Requirements: To receive payments, users must complete our verification process, which includes providing accurate personal information and completing micro-payment verification through approved payment processors.

4. User Responsibilities and Prohibited Conduct

Accurate Information: You agree to provide true, accurate, current, and complete information during registration and verification processes.

Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account.

Prohibited Activities: You may not:

  • Create multiple accounts or attempt to circumvent verification systems
  • Provide false or misleading information
  • Attempt to manipulate, exploit, or abuse our payment systems
  • Use our services for illegal activities or money laundering
  • Reverse engineer, hack, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Harass, threaten, or harm other users or our staff

5. Financial Terms and Payment Processing

Contribution Structure: All contributions to the UBI Fund are voluntary donations. Contributions are not investments and do not guarantee returns or specific payment amounts.

Non-Refundability: All contributions are final and non-refundable once processed, except as required by applicable law.

Payment Distribution: UBI payments are distributed based on available funds and our distribution algorithm. Payment amounts and frequency may vary and are not guaranteed.

Payment Processing Fees: Third-party payment processor fees may apply to both contributions and distributions.

Tax Responsibilities: Recipients are responsible for reporting payments as income and paying applicable taxes. We may provide tax documentation as required by law.

6. AI Fund Management and Investment Risks

Automated Trading: The UBI fund is managed using artificial intelligence systems that make automated trading decisions. These systems involve significant risks including:

  • Market volatility and potential losses
  • Technology failures or algorithmic errors
  • Unexpected market conditions that AI systems may not handle appropriately

No Investment Advice: Our AI fund management does not constitute investment advice. Fund performance is not guaranteed and may result in losses.

Risk Acknowledgment: By participating, you acknowledge that the experimental nature of AI-driven fund management carries inherent risks that could affect payment amounts or availability.

7. Privacy and Data Protection

Data Collection: We collect personal information necessary to operate our services, as detailed in our Privacy Policy.

Financial Data: We may collect and store financial information necessary for payment processing and verification.

Data Security: We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, but cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Experimental Nature and Disclaimers

Experimental Platform: Ubiquitus is an experimental platform exploring Universal Basic Income concepts. The platform, payment amounts, and availability are not guaranteed and may change or discontinue at any time.

No Guarantee of Payments: Participation does not guarantee receipt of payments. Payment availability depends on fund performance, user verification, and platform operations.

Service Evolution: Our services, including AI systems and payment mechanisms, may evolve, change, or be discontinued based on performance, regulatory requirements, or other factors.

9. Intellectual Property Rights

Platform Content: All content on Ubiquitus, including text, graphics, logos, software, and AI algorithms, is our property or that of our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.

User Content: You retain ownership of content you provide but grant us a non-exclusive license to use it for platform operations.

Payment Processors: We integrate with third-party payment services (Venmo, PayPal, etc.) that have their own terms and privacy policies.

No Control: We are not responsible for the availability, terms, or privacy practices of third-party services.

11. Platform Modifications and Termination

Service Changes: We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of our services at any time with or without notice.

Account Termination: We may terminate or suspend accounts for violations of these Terms, suspicious activity, or other reasons at our discretion.

Effect of Termination: Upon termination, your right to use our services ceases immediately, though certain provisions of these Terms will survive.
